Approximately 1/2 acre of grass and debris burned today and threatened two homes in Palmdale at N-8 and 17th Street West. Strong winds pushed a small grass fire towards homes as homeowners used garden hoses in conjunction with Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel. Winds hampered firefighters as they tried to corral the fire burning behind the homes.
