  2. I was there but not close enough to tell what caused the police presence... I was heading west on Hollywood Blvd sightseeing (yes, at midnight... lots to see there that time of night) when the traffic slowed to a crawl (not unusual in LA) and then I heard sirens coming from every direction, and black-and-whites moving in FAST from everywhere, behind, in front, from side streets, up the wrong way, and all headed for H&V or points north. This was just after I'd taken in the spectacular view from Gowan St looking west down Hollywood. Anyway the cops diverted everything on Hollywood Blvd westbound to the south at Vine and I ended up leaving via Sunset Blvd. (By the way I nominate Sunset as the next road, from Vine to the beach, where James Bond ought to do his next chase sequence. It would rule, especially if Task Force 27 participated.) :)
