A HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM IS FORECASTED TO RETURN TO THE GREAT BASIN AND ALONG WITH A STRONG UPPER TROUGH APPROACHING FROM NORTHEAST WILL CREATE STRONG GUSTY WINDS WITH DAMAGING GUSTS POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...WITH LINGERING GUSTY WINDS INTO FRIDAY.

Apartment House Fire, Palmdale CA
Los Angeles County Firefighters helped to evacuate occupants of an early morning apartment house fire in Palmdale CA. Firefighters responded to 38300 East 30th Street around 04:00am and found smoke and fire showing from a unit on the second floor. Firefighters held the fire to just one unit. Several children and their mother in a neighboring unit were assisted to safety by County firefighters. The cause is under investigation. Several displaced people will need Red Cross assistance for shelter
