A WEAK FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL PASS TO THE NORTH AND EAST OF THE FORECAST AREA LATER TODAY. IN THE WAKE OF THIS PASSING FRONT... VERY GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP. THERE WILL BE THE POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGING WIND GUSTS ACROSS THE SANTA YNEZ MOUNTAIN RANGE AND ADJACENT WIND PRONE PASSES AND CANYONS OF THE SANTA BARBARA SOUTH COAST THIS EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. THE MOUNTAINS OF LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES COULD ALSO BE AFFECTED BY DAMAGING WINDS THIS EVENING THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY MORNING... ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE INTERSTATE 5 CORRIDOR. THERE WILL LIKELY BE GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS... YET NOT QUITE AS STRONG... AFFECTING THE SANTA CLARITA VALLEY...THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY AND THE SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS AS WELL THROUGH AT LEAST FRIDAY MORNING. AS THE WINDS SHIFT TO THE NORTHEAST FRIDAY AFTERNOON...THEY WILL LIKELY AFFECT THE USUAL SANTA ANA WIND PRONE AREAS THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING... AND WIND ADVISORIES WILL LIKELY BE NEEDED AGAIN. ...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 3 AM PST FRIDAY... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOS ANGELES/OXNARD HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 3 AM PST FRIDAY. * TIMING: GUSTY NORTH WINDS WILL DEVELOP THIS EVENING AND PERSIST THROUGH AT LEAST EARLY FRIDAY MORNING.
