A flash-flood watch is in effect until 6 tonight for portions of the Antelope Valley because of the possibility of heavy afternoon thunderstorms, officials said.
The National Weather Service in Oxnard issued the advisory, saying an increasingly unstable air mass could combine with moisture moving in from the southeast increased the likelihood for heavy precipitation.
