Cal Fire and San Luis Obispo County Fire are fighting a wildfire near the town of Shandon, the fire was approximately 100 acres at 4:30 PM. Several ranch buildings were threatened for a short period of time. The fire is burning primarily in dense grass and rangeland. Several fixed wing air tankers and Helicopter 527 from the Forest Service held the fire in check before it could cross Highway 41.
